Frank Robinson Makes Game-Saving Catch

Description

A slide of a black-and-white photograph showing Frank Robinson at four different stages of making a catch and falling over the outfield wall. In the picture in the upper left, Robinson is leaping in the air with his gloved left hand extending above his head. The crowd behind him is watching intently. In the picture in the upper right, He is sitting on the low outfield wall and starting to fall backward into the right field bleachers. In the picture in the bottom left, He has fallen over the wall and only his legs, which are sticking straight up, are visible. Some of the fans are trying to get out of the way, while it appears that one man is trying to help Robinson up. In the bottom right picture, Robinson sits on top of the low wall as teammate Paul Blair helps him back onto the field. Robinson and Blair are both wearing Baltimore Orioles road uniforms. The catch of Roy White's hit was the final out of the first game of a doubleheader on June 21, 1966, and preserved a 7-5 victory for the Orioles. Information written on the slide reads, "1966 great catch"
