Description
A color slide of a baseball card from the 1959 Fleer Ted Williams set. Card number 2 in the set shows Williams (left) with Babe Ruth (right) using a baseball bat to decide who will bat first in a hitting contest. It was part of a military charity event at Braves Field on July 12, 1943. Williams has his right hand on the bat, while Ruth has his left hand on top and right hand underneath. Williams is wearing a Boston Red Sox road uniform, and Ruth is wearing a New York Yankees home uniform. The caption on the bottom of the baseball card reads, "Ted's Idol - Babe Ruth."
