Ted Williams Batting in Old-Timers’ Game

Description

A color slide of a full-length photograph showing Ted Williams batting during an Old-Timers' Game at Fenway Park. The game was played in either May 1982 or May 1984. Williams is in the follow-through of his swing, with his body twisted to the right facing the camera and his bat in his right hand, pointed behind him. His left arm is coming across his chest, parallel to his waist. His right leg is crossed in front of his left, and he looks outward, watching the ball's flight. The catcher and umpire are visible at the left of the photograph, and the grandstand is full of fans in the background. Williams and the catcher are wearing Red Sox home uniforms. Information written on the physical slide reads, "T. Wms. at fenway c. 1977" however, the first Old-Timers' Game at Fenway Park did not take place until 1982. See willite01_283.
