Neyer is a longtime baseball writer and editor for ESPN.com, SB Nation, and FoxSports.com. He began his career as a research assistant for groundbreaking baseball author Bill James and later worked for STATS, Inc. He has also written or co-written seven baseball books, including The Neyer/James Guide to Pitchers (with Bill James), winner of the Sporting News/SABR Baseball Research Award, and most recently Power Ball: Anatomy of a Modern Baseball Game, winner of this year’s CASEY Award.

Our guest this week is Steve Hofstetter, comedian, actor, producer, and baseball fan. One of the top booked acts on the college circuit, Steve is the CEO of Comedy Juice, the author of Ginger Kid: Mostly True Tales from a Former Nerd, and the host of a popular YouTube channel with more than 130 million views. He has also released six albums, including Pick Your Battles, and he has written humor columns for the New York Times, SportsIllustrated.com, and NHL.com, among others. He is the former Executive Vice President of Film & Television for The Laugh Factory and Senior Comedy Correspondent for Fox Sports. His “Sports Minute (Or So)” was syndicated on over 170 stations and in over 30 newspapers.
