Bob Rives
/in /by Jason BestBob Rives is retired from business and from Wichita State University where he was an adjunct instructor. He’s also written a book, Baseball in Wichita, managing to avoid the crassness of Pulitzer consideration and the NY Times’ best seller list. He started his career out of the Army as a sports writer, leaving that after two years in search of something more serious in the sense of paycheck size. He’s enjoyed returning to his roots with SABR and the Biography Project. He was elected to the Kansas Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016 as a contributor.
