SABR All-Time Eras Teams, 1876-2026

OCTOBER 22, 2026 — Throughout the 2026 season, SABR members had a chance to vote on SABR’s All-Time Eras Teams as we celebrate the 150 years of baseball and American history since the founding of the National League in 1876.

On Wednesday, October 21, SABR revealed the Modern Era team in a special Zoom webinar, covering players and teams from 2001 to 2025, with Tim Kurkjian of ESPN.

Nearly 1,000 SABR members cast a vote on this ballot. The top vote recipients at each position were selected for the first team. Click on a link below to view the players, managers, and executives selected, along with their SABR biographies and statistics from Baseball-Reference.com:

The SABR All-Time Eras Teams project was an interactive opportunity for all SABR members to participate in, debate with one another, and learn more about the iconic players and figures from different eras. A total of 83,232 votes were recorded in the six era ballots, with more than 5,000 individual ballots cast by SABR members throughout the 2026 season.

Ballots for each era were chosen by a SABR committee that included: Mark Armour, Mike Bates, James Brunson III, Adam Darowski, Emily Hawks, Leslie Heaphy, Ted Knorr, Cassidy Lent, Dan Levitt, Rob Neyer, Anthony Salazar, Mark Simon, Mike Webber, and Joe Williams.

Thanks to all SABR members who participated and voted in this project! Visit SABR.org/all-time-eras-teams to learn more.
