SABR Member Benefit Spotlight: Events Calendar
FEBRUARY 28, 2024 — As a SABR member, you have vast resources and benefits at your disposal. With so much information at your fingertips, we realize it can be overwhelming to absorb it all! To highlight key benefits, read on for a SABR Member Benefit Spotlight, an email series that identifies and explains some of the most valuable features of your membership. We hope this allows you to take full advantage of all SABR has to offer.
Today, we want to highlight some of the national events hosted by SABR, as well as how to find upcoming local and virtual events on our calendar …
Baseball season is officially upon us, and to get in the spirit, you might be looking to attend some baseball-centric events. Look no further than the SABR Events page, which features information and registration links to both national and local meetings.
National events span the entire baseball interest spectrum, from our Analytics Conference to the 19th Century Base Ball Conference to the Women in Baseball Conference. Another key national event is the Jerry Malloy Negro League Conference, the only symposium exclusively dedicated to Black baseball history, being held this summer at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Registration also recently opened for our annual summer convention, SABR 52, held in Minneapolis this August. An exciting five days filled with Hall of Fame players, panels, research presentations, Minnesota Twins and St. Paul Saints games, and a revamped trivia contest, this event is open to all SABR members and always provides for a memorable week of baseball fellowship! There’s truly a SABR event for every interest.
SABR members receive exclusive discounts on all national event registrations, so make sure you’re logged in to your profile before you finalize your registration at check out.
You can also view local events on our SABR Events Calendar, which features all of our chapter and committee meetings. By clicking on one of the events on the calendar, you can get more information about the meeting, or a link to register for a virtual event. Please note that all times listed on the Events Calendar are in the Eastern time zone, so please check the event description for local times.
To view any events you’ve already registered for, log into your profile and navigate to Event Registrations located under the Payments and History tab. You’ll be able to view any previous and upcoming events that you’re registered for, virtual and in-person. You can view, save, and print invoices from your registration transaction by clicking on the printer icon under the event title.
