Save the Date: 2012 SABR Convention in Minneapolis

The Twins are scheduled to play host to the Kansas City Royals in a weekend series at Target Field, which opened in 2010. In addition, a trip is tentatively planned to see a St. Paul Saints minor league game. The Major League Baseball schedule was released Wednesday morning.
Recently, Stew Thornley of the Halsey Hall Chapter offered a preview of the programs being planned for SABR 42 and area attractions in the Twin Cities. You can read it here at halseyhall.org.
Minnesota’s Halsey Hall Chapter last hosted the SABR convention in 1988, with the keynote speech delivered by then-Twins general manager Andy MacPhail. SABR members attended a Twins-Brewers game at the Metrodome, on the other side of downtown Minneapolis from Target Field.
