Bob Hurte
/in /by adminBob Hurte has been a SABR member since 1998, and writes for the SABR BioProject. He is a member of SABR’s Elysian Fields Chapter in New Jersey, Forbes Field Chapter in Pittsburgh, and Babe Ruth Chapter in Baltimore. When he is not writing, he serves as a Deacon at the Stewartsville Presbyterian Church. It would be an understatement to say he is an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan. He has been one since birth and begins every season convinced that his beloved Pirates will end up in the World Series! Bob has completed 18 marathons, enjoys reading books on history, hiking, in addition to savoring hand-crafted beer. He shares a 130-year-old house with his wife Barbara, children Matthew (deceased), Tegan, Samuel, and Sally the family dog. Bob has had two books published by Brick Tower Press, Intelligent Influence in Baseball and The Baseball Doesn’t Fall from the Tree.
