Eric Marshall White

Eric Marshall White, the Scheide Librarian at Princeton University, is a historian of early books and printing. At age 9, attending his first big-league game (a Braves vs. Twins exhibition on May 30, 1974), he got to see his favorite player, the new home-run king, take on hometown hero Harmon Killebrew in a pregame home-run derby. (They hit three each.) Eric has published two books on Johannes Gutenberg, four articles in SABR publications, and several online features about the cartoonists who enlivened the backs of all his vintage Topps baseball cards.
