Charles F. Faber

Charles F. Faber, a retired university professor, has written numerous books, including several books on baseball published by McFarland: Baseball Ratings: The All-Time Best Players at Each Position (3rd ed. 2008); Baseball Pioneers: Ratings of Nineteenth Century Players (1997); Spitballers: The Last Legal Hurlers of the Wet One (with Richard B. Faber, 1997); Major League Careers Cut Short: Leading Players Gone by30 (2011); Baseball Prodigies: Best Major League Seasons by Players Under 21 (2014); and his most recent book with Zachariah Webb, The Hunt for a Reds October: Cincinnati 1990 (2015). He has contributed to several SABR publications and has published in other fields, such as history, law, education, and country music. He lives in Lexington, Kentucky.
