Wrigley Field, Los Angeles

Wrigley Field’s 150-foot office tower housed 13-foot clocks on its four sides that could be seen from all parts of the city, making the ballpark the iconic symbol of baseball in Los Angeles for more than 35 years. The dedication plaque reads: “This tower was erected by W. K. Wrigley, Jr., in honor of the baseball players who gave or risked their lives in defence of their country in the Great World War.” (NATIONAL BASEBALL HALL OF FAME LIBRARY)
