Margaret M. Gripshover

Margaret M. “Peggy” Gripshover is a professor of geography at Western Kentucky University. She earned her PhD in Geography at the University of Tennessee and her MS and BS degrees in Geography from Marshall University. She has been a SABR member since 2006 and combines her love of baseball with her geographic research on race, ethnicity, urbanization, horse racing, and cultural landscapes. Peggy has published articles in the Baseball Research Journal and contributed a chapter on “Wrigleyville” for Northsiders: Essays on the History and Culture of the Chicago Cubs (2008). She has written biographies for numerous SABR books. She is a native of Cincinnati and a lifelong Reds fan. She lives in Bowling Green, Kentucky, with her husband, Thomas L. Bell.
