Jeff Allan Howard

Jeff Howard grew up on the Northwest side of Chicago and was born and raised a Cubs fan. His first recollection of attending a baseball game was as a youth on May 15, 1960. His mom took him to a Sunday doubleheader at the friendly confines of Wrigley Field when Chicago’s Don Cardwell pitched a no-hitter. He hasn’t seen a live no-no since, which reinforces a fundamental credo to capture and embrace every moment that happens. Jeff attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and majored in Speech Communications and Politics. He played four years of Division III college football, had a weekly sports column, and read the news for the campus radio station. On graduation, Jeff took a job in the insurance industry and has since held a variety of positions, ranging from claims representative to regional benefits manager. He is currently employed as a Research and Correspondence Analyst for the largest labor healthcare fund in the country. Jeff has organized and coached multiple community baseball, softball, and basketball youth sports teams as a volunteer, teaching kids to believe in their abilities, love the game and most of all, have fun.
