Jim Leeke

Jim Leeke is the creative director of Taillight Communications. He contributes to the SABR Baseball Biography Project and has written or edited several books on American and military history. His latest book, From the Dugouts to the Trenches: Baseball During the Great War, won the 2018 Larry Ritter Book Award. He is the author of Nine Innings for the King: The Day Wartime London Stopped for Baseball, July 4, 1918; Ballplayers in the Great War: Newspaper Accounts of Major Leaguers in World War I Military Service; and several books on Civil War and naval history.
