Eugenio Suárez of the Arizona Diamondbacks

Diamondbacks’ Eugenio Suárez hits four home runs in a game

Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eugenio Suárez became the 19th player in AL/NL history to hit four home runs in a single game on Saturday, April 26 against the Atlanta Braves at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.

Suárez hit a solo home run in the second inning, a two-run homer in the fourth inning, a solo shot in the sixth inning, and a game-tying solo home run in the ninth inning. Suárez, who finished 4-for-4 with four home runs and five RBIs, became just the third player in major-league history to hit four home runs in a team loss, matching Bob Horner (1986) and Ed Delahanty (1896).
