SABR's All-Time Eras Teams: Modern Era (2001-2025)

SABR All-Time Eras Team announced for Modern Era (2001–2025)

Throughout the 2026 season, SABR members had a chance to vote on SABR’s All-Time Eras Teams as we celebrate the 150 years of baseball and American history since the founding of the National League in 1876.

On Wednesday, October 21, SABR revealed the Modern Era team in a special Zoom webinar, covering players and teams from 2001 to 2025, with Tim Kurkjian of ESPN. Nearly 1,000 SABR members cast a vote on this ballot.

Ballots for each era were chosen by a SABR committee that included: Mark Armour, Mike Bates, James Brunson III, Adam Darowski, Emily Hawks, Leslie Heaphy, Ted Knorr, Cassidy Lent, Dan Levitt, Rob Neyer, Anthony Salazar, Mark Simon, Mike Webber, and Joe Williams. Thanks to all SABR members who participated and voted in this project!
