Charlie Bevis
Charlie Bevis is the author of numerous articles on baseball history as well as eight books, most recently Baseball Under the Lights: The Rise of the Night Game (McFarland, 2021). His book Jimmy Collins: A Baseball Biography (McFarland, 2012) was a finalist for the 2013 Larry Ritter Award. He received a 2006 McFarland-SABR Baseball Research Award for his article “Rocky Point: A Lone Outpost of Sunday Baseball in Sabbatarian New England,” published in NINE: A Journal of Baseball History and Culture. He writes baseball from his home in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
