Daniel R. Levitt
Daniel R. Levitt is the author of several award-winning books, including Paths to Glory: How Great Baseball Teams Got That Way (2003, with Mark Armour); Ed Barrow: The Bulldog Who Built the Yankees’ First Dynasty (2008); The Battle That Forged Modern Baseball: The Federal League Challenge and Its Legacy (2012); and In Pursuit of Pennants: Baseball Operations from Deadball to Moneyball (2015, with Armour). In 2015, he was selected as the receipient of the Bob Davids Award, SABR’s highest honor. He served as editor of The National Pastime convention journal in 2012, focusing on baseball in Minnesota, and has been President and Officer of the Halsey Hall Chapter. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife and two boys.
