What’s Rob Reading?

Games, Asterisks, and People: Memoirs of a Lucky Fan, by Ford C.Games, Asterisks, and People: Memoirs of a Lucky Fan
By Ford C. Frick

“Ford Frick has been involved with baseball all his life – as sportscaster, sports-writer, founder of baseball’s Hall of Fame, league president, and, for fifteen years, Commissioner of Baseball. He knows all the great figures of the last fifty years and he loves baseball’s lore and traditions, its drama and personalities. Here he provides stories that go back to the almost forgotten past of baseball’s origins: he gives intimate recollections of the inimitable Judge Landis, owners such as Branch Rickey (and his historic decision to bring Jackie Robinson into the majors), and great ballplayers such as Babe Ruth.”
