Neyer is a longtime baseball writer and editor for ESPN.com, SB Nation, and FoxSports.com. He began his career as a research assistant for groundbreaking baseball author Bill James and later worked for STATS, Inc. He has also written or co-written seven baseball books, including The Neyer/James Guide to Pitchers (with Bill James), winner of the Sporting News/SABR Baseball Research Award, and most recently Power Ball: Anatomy of a Modern Baseball Game, winner of the 2019 CASEY Award.

Graig KreindlerThis week’s guest is Graig Kreindler, a renowned sports artist best known for his oil paintings depicting vintage, historical baseball scenes. His series of 200 Negro Leagues portraits, which was on display at the Negro Leagues Museum in Kansas City, is featured in a new book, Black Baseball in Living Color: The Artwork of Graig Kreindler, by Jay Caldwell. His original works have also been displayed in the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center, the Bob Feller Museum, and the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and Museum, among many other places. He graduated with honors from the School of Visual Arts in New York City and received his Masters in Art Education from Lehman College. And yes, he was named after Yankees third baseman Graig Nettles.
